Arguably the capital of craft beer in Australia, with no less than 10 breweries located within a few square kilometres, is the Marrickville Triangle.
We thought, what better way to celebrate our 1st Birthday than by taking you on a tour of this very area that was a seed for our idea of showcasing craft beers by region.
This month we will take you through the awesome beers of Batch Brewing, Sauce Brewing Co, Stockade Brew Co, Young Henry's & the newly brewhoused Philter Brewing!

275 different beers brewed and counting, Batch Brewing Co have also recently opened a second small batch brewery nearby in Petersham where they produce experimental flavours, test and refine processes, and find inspiration from friends and peers from all parts of the flavour world through collaborative brews.

Young Henry's started out in 2012 with the idea to brew beer their local community would enjoy and be proud to call their own. Built on a foundation of music, art, culture & community, their beers are brewed to suit the modern Australian palate and climate. With a core range made up of well-balanced, easy-drinking beers along with some highly anticipated seasonal releases including the Motorcycle Oil Hoppy Porter, which you can enjoy in our packs.

Philter burst onto the scene in 2017 with their crowd favourite XPA and have been releasing excellent beers ever since under Head Brewer Samara Fuss. In August 2020, Philter opened their taproom at 98 Sydenham Rd Marrickville. Kit including six 100 hectolitre and three 50 hectolitre tanks, an automated keg cleaner and filler, plus a canning line in a separate, sterile room complete the brewery’s collection of high-tech equipment, allowing the team to produce at maximum capacity.
We have been lucky enough to time this month with the newest batch of their hit Hazy IPA, a must try!

Whether you’re a hop-head, a sour-freak, or you just like good quality, drinkable ales, Sauce Brewing have a beer for you. And as of late September, if you are in Cairns, they now have a brewpub there for you too!
Along with one of the better core range lineups, Sauce release outstanding limited release brews, seasonal's including some massive barrel aged stouts, and colab beers with some of the best in the biz - if you see a Sauce beer, do yourself a favour and grab it.
